Resistance is futile

"The Devil can cite Scripture for his purpose. An evil soul producing holy witness is like a villain with a smiling cheek, a goodly apple rotten at the heart." The Merchant of Venice, I, iii, 99-102.

"The prince of darkness is a gentleman."
King Lear, III, iv.

My mother, Evelyn Avery, moved to Australia before I was even born.  I discovered several years ago that she did so to run away from my father Voldemort.  She had been engaged to Regulus Black.  As part of that engagement, she was gang-raped by Death Eaters in an initiation of sorts.  Black turned her away when he discovered she was pregnant.  The resulting self-exile made her a hard woman.

She died in 2003, leaving me many Muggle business ventures and diverse holdings.  Since my arrival in England in 2004, I've managed to build upon that foundation and amass even greater wealth.

I had no formal training as a wizard, having grown up in the Muggle world, including attending Muggle schools and university.  It has allowed me an unique perspective on the Wizarding world I shall conquer.

Did I forget to mention I have the Minister for Magic, Rodolphus Lestrange, in my pocket?

The only thorn in my side are the so-called Golden Trio and their spawn.  You see, there is a prophecy.  Based upon this, I shall either conquer both the Wizarding and Muggle worlds, bringing them all to heel, or I shall be destroyed by the Trio's spawn.

I shall prevail.

In the peacetime following the second coming,
the wyrm will rise from the serpent's nest
and cast a shadow on the land.
His fate hinges on the child of three;
hand, heart, mind, come together as one.
As the tree grips its roots into the rock,
destroying the surrounding earth,
so he too will be.
He will find the child and bring it down into the darkness,
spilling its blood onto the soil,
and so the world shall know the third coming.
The worlds shall split asunder, magical and mortal,
and terror rain down upon those who can not choose.
The son of the serpent will bring this to pass
unless the three parts call upon that which they know not,
unless they come to the place which has no name,
or all shall be lost till time eternal.
